Harry had never thought much about wandless magic. He could summon what he needed, he knew enough shields and defences to be able to cast offensive magic at the same time, a few others. Mostly he'd never bothered to try, to learn, because he loved his wand and he didn't feel he needed to cast spells wandlessly.
He was starting to wonder if this affinity for wandless magic, which he knew was rather rare, wasn't something that ran in the family. Certainly James was proving more than apt at it, and now Al too. Then again who said it wasn't something they'd got from their mother?
"If you're finding magic easier without a wand, then perhaps you should try to cast more spells without it," he suggested. "And don't worry about how things are catalogued. We'll work on it until it's right, you'll see."
He would need to speak to Severus about this. And perhaps remind him again about the problems with his son's feelings. It was worrying him more now than before.
