At first he was quite sure he hadn't heard him. Since Al was a little child he'd tried to take him flying, but already as a baby he'd started to cry the moment he'd left the ground. It didn't matter if it was him or his mother holding him, the end result was the same. While flying with Jamie or Lily strapped to your chest was a sure way of making them fall asleep when nothing else was working, Al screamed his head off from kick off to landing.
"You went flying?" he asked. "You, were in the air?" he asked. "And you didn't panic?"
He sighed. "Al, you need to practise. Flying won't save your life, protection might."
