Even with how he was feeling, Allison could make him chuckle and for that he was grateful. "No it's not, but talking to you is helping," he said. "You make me laugh, it's nice." It was almost a thank you, not that one was needed. Or at least he didn't think so.
And if she'd made him chuckle even a little before, he didn't stop when she went on. "Of course he didn't," he said with a roll of his eyes. "I might not have called him Dad but he was my father. Some things do run in the family. Good taste and good looks being two of them." And this was so much better than listening to people being sorry and offering condolences and babbling on about memories. Why couldn't everyone be like this? It was just so much easier.
He blinked. "Oh fuck, don't scare me. Mrs Weasley totally would too," he said with a shudder. "So would Jamie's mum, for that matter."
He squeezed her a bit. "You got a deal," he said. "And Jamie already said he'd get trashed with me later, he'll come." He didn't know about Sirius but he assumed as much. Looking over his shoulder he confirmed that Jamie was close by.
