He went around the desk and turned Severus' chair. His fingers cupped Severus' jaw. "That's what I'm asking. I want to know what you want, Severus." He smiled softly. "Have you ever asked me for something? Have you ever told me what you want? We talk about school, war, tactics, but we never talk about us, but I'm tired, Severus. I'm twenty and I feel like an old man. I don't want to spend my life the way I spent my last year. I know that I can't give anyone forever, but whatever I have, I want to give it to someone who's not going to hide every emotion all the times, someone who can make me feel like I matter. I've wanted that person to be you since you returned, but- I don't know if you want the same."
