Summary: When will people learn not to schedule parties during Al's book cleaning days?
Al left his spiders safely tucked in and secured under his bed, and wisely decided to begin his book cleaning with Severus' books this time around.
It was a clever plan. If Al took his time, the surprise wedding party would die down, and he wouln't have to deal with earsplitting music and drunk individuals. Both concepts were labeled on the ridiculous end of scale for the illogical in Al's mind.
As he worked contently in a quiet, dark, and blissfully logic-driven, alphabetised zone, with the Compendium riffling its pages at him, and Severus somewhere in proximity, he sighed and looked inwards and realised: this was contentment. A quiet and restful sort of joy.
He just hoped that back at the Garden Court, the guests wouldn't leave beer stains on the tables, spill drinks on his newspapers, or throw popcorn in the vicinity of his bookshelves. And Jamie and Sirius surely would have enough sense not to shag on his side of the sofa, would they?
Al pushed the wandering thoughts aside and concentrated on the quiet and calm and the smell of books, and the scritching sound of Severus' quill nearby.
