Remus nodded slowly, not wanting to say anything more about Sirius until he understood things better for himself. "We can test the Map another time, when we're both thinking more clearly."
Turning his hand over, he laced their fingers together as Regulus had been the one to do before. Shaking his head, he smiled gently, or tried to, wishing he could do something to remove the hunted look from the other man's eyes. "I thought I was the only one who got to apologise," he reminded Regulus, attempting to find some of the lightness of earlier, only to grow far more serious again the next moment. "No," he said firmly, eyes never leaving the stormy grey ones before him. "Don't suggest it. I'm not ready to give up on whatever this could be with us, yet. I don't come from your world, Regulus. I don't understand parts of it. Until I do, I'm not walking away from this unless you ask me to."
