"There was good and bad all mixed up in everything." Remus was sighing a lot for an outing that he'd intended to be fun. "You make it sound like that was all we ever did, choose someone to humiliate on whatever day it happened to be. They had their targets, yes, but we hardly terrorised the entire bloody school, or even all of Slytherin."
For the second time in their brief walk from the dungeons, Remus stopped in his tracks, barely even feeling the icy wind trying to get under his cloak. "Excuse me?" Money and shagging and Prongs, all of that flew right over his head as his mind settled on the rest of what Regulus had said -- looking for a bride. Apparently Sirius wasn't the only Black brother who could convince Remus to do something stupid. "Wow. Maybe you're right after all," he said quietly. "Too damn naive."
Any excitement he'd felt in the evening's test was long gone now. But, he might as well continue. The Map still needed testing, after all. "I'll try to think of that with next round of tests," he said stiffly, moving past the other man and out into the snow.
