She'd spent most of Friday that she hadn't spent at the Malfoy's double-checking the camp. The cabins were clean, the activities were reserved, and the counselors were present. She was pleased that Tristan had goofed off an absolute minimum - for him - and that he was already familiar with the other counselor. She reasoned she'd start with two and see if they needed more from there ... but she thought they'd be all right.
Abraxan had roamed around and fully investigated each cabin as well, and Ari could tell he was just very excited even if he didn't know why. At the moment, he was sprawled across his doggy bed - Ash had insisted she bring it, as she'd never seen him sleep on anything else - his eyes half open and his tail lazily thumping the ground when she looked at him.
Soon enough, she heard the rumble of the bus that transported the campers from the station to the cabins as it drove up the curving dirt road toward their section of the camp area. Once it had parked and the students had started unloading, it was easy enough for her to pick out the one and only student she hadn't seen before. So that must be Requiem. She was pleased to see that he already seemed friendly with the Weasley-Potter clan, and she smiled inwardly. Well, if he was going to befriend anyone first off, that was a good place to start.
When they were all off the bus and all their bags had been unloaded, Ari smiled. "Welcome to Camp Live Like a Muggle. Since most of you know me, and I know most of you, we'll skip the introductions and head right into the heart of things.
"While you're here, you'll be doing everything the way Muggles do them. Granted, most of you are underage, so you're doing mundane things without magic as it is, but most of you come from wizarding or mixed homes and I'm sure there are aspects you're unfamiliar with. Like washing dishes, cooking food, and doing laundry. I know we've covered theories on all of these things in class, and now's your chance to have the practicals."
She gestured to Tris and Danny. "Tristan and Danny have both been hired on to help run things here. They're your counselors, and you're welcome to come to them with questions and concerns. If it's anything they can't handle, they'll come to me. We do have activities scheduled - including a shopping trip next weekend - but there will also be free time as well. The beach is a short walk away; I just ask that you let one of us know where you're going to be if you head away from the cabins.
"Roommate assignments can be found on the bulletin board over there," she gestured. "And I'll be handing out the keys to your cabins. Dinner will be served in the dining hall there," she pointed again, "in about an hour, so that should give you lot time to settle in and familiarize yourself with the cabins and surrounding areas. Are there any questions?"
