Re: Harry/James
"Not likely," Harry said with a snort. "Trust me, your grandmother has tried everything and then some."
He sighed. "James, I never said I'd try to stop him from doing anything, and I know you think so but I'm not trying to stop you from living your life either. I don't want to do that. That was not what I meant by keeping him safe," he said. "I love you, I want you to be as safe as you can be, but I don't want to lock you up or keep you away from the world. That has never been my wish. You have to trust me on that."
He nodded when James said no Patronus, because he was right. "Perhaps we can ask Remus if we can adapt the medallion somehow. I doubt you'll need more things to carry around with you than you already have," he said with a smirk.
Harry smiled. "He is a kid," Harry reminded him. "It shows in what he says. Not that he didn't always like to talk, but yes, he's definitely younger." He paused, realising that he hadn't really spoken to James about the cave. Not that not everyone in the office knew that one of the spells had gone off and that he and Moody had left only to return later, but the Minister unlike Percy had thought it better to keep out of the press (for which Harry was relieved) and the details were therefore only known to Moody and himself. All the Aurors knew was that one of his places had been destroyed and that he was looking for a new wand - well the latter was probably mostly for those who worked on the case. He decided that James would ask if he wanted to know though, and left it at that.
