Alex had spent the rest of the afternoon going over Professor Black's class in his head. Had he done something wrong? Said something stupid? He'd thought his questions were relevant, and he'd not found anything odd about the lecture.
He went over the notes he'd taken between classes, nearly knocking over a mousy third-year girl with his nose in his notes, but couldn't think of a reason he'd be wanted. In the Potion Master's office. First class of his term?
Alex sighed and shoved his things into his pink bag and headed for the office. He'd said four, and Alex wasn't about to be late. He ran his fingers through his hair as he walked, tying it back like he'd worn it in class, taking a mental inventory of himself.
Satisfied, he knocked on the door, entering when he was asked to. It was hard to take the measure of the Professor's expression, so Alex simply sat where he was told, then set his bag onto the floor by his feet.
