Marcus tipped his head, taking note of her attire. If he cared he would have rolled his eyes but he really didn't. "I was going to sit anyway," he said, dropping onto the sofa. He leaned back, running a hand through his notoriously messy hair.
"I am going to be the one to tell Adrian," he said, cutting right to the chase. "I was curious why it is even important to you, other than to see how uncomfortable I will be." He had no intentions of ending what he had with Patrick. They had survived for six years. "It won't change anything."
He thought about going to help himself to the coffee, or lighting up a cigarette but that could wait for the moment. Those were only things that would irritate her, and he wasn't to that point yet.
