RP: Ced Who: Cedric Where: Silver Birch Farm When: January 6, early evening. Rating/Warnings: Summary: Cedric's back from school for the day
Cedric almost fell out of the fireplace into the kitchen. He hung his traveling cloak up on its peg and disappeared upstairs to his room. He had a routine now, get home, get changed then go out to the horses. He'd become rather fond of the creatures since living on his Cousin's farm. Growing up where he did on the outskirts of a completely wizarding community, he didn't see many farm animals and such. The closest Muggle farm had been miles away. Pulling on his coat and walking boots, he raced back downstairs and out into the snow. It was slippery and he almost walked into a massive snowman, that was no doubt Bryn's handiwork. But he managed to make it to the stables in one piece.
'Hello guys.' Wandering over to the stalls he was pleased to find that everyone had fresh hay to munch on and clean water. The stable lad had obviously already settled them in for the night. Indeed, Merlin raised his head from his water long enough to give Cedric a rather challenging stare and the Hufflepuff couldn't help but laugh. 'Don't you look at me like that.' Of course no sooner had he chastised Merlin, when Arthur's head appeared at his stall door. They were a pair and couldn't you just tell. The two grey Shires worked together and their stalls were beside each other. If one was going out, both would have to go or there'd be trouble.
Patting each one as he passed, he made his way down past Morgana and Gwen (another working pair), to the last two stalls. a snort made him look up and he smiled, reaching to pat the huge bay shire's neck. 'Hello Bats.' The one horse they had let Jasper name evidently -full name Batman- Bats for short. He had very pointy ears, it had to be said, but surely he should have been black to deserve a name like Batman. Then last but not least there was Robin, Ced's favourite, the baby of the bunch. Well, he was two.
'Want to go for a walk Robin?' Putting on the horse's halter and lead rope, he undid the stall door and lead him outside.
