"You can, but I'm not going to let you," Hannah replied back with a saucy smirk on her lips.
She chuckled, her head bent as she continued to slice cucumbers for the salad. "You're quite welcome, but I didn't exactly put it that way. I guess next time I notice I won't mention it at all. Hmm?" Hannah knew that Neville was just teasing her.
Wiping her hands on her apron, Hannah had finished the salad and went to sit with Neville, taking a glass of wine with a 'thank you'. She pushed a heavy lock of her hair out of her face.
"They've just been bickering, as usual. About some silly book, but it's quiet now. They've either sorted it out or killed one another. I'm too tired to go look," Hannah replied, then took a sip of her wine.
"We haven't killed each other, mother," Minerva said when she walked into the kitchen, having heard her father's voice. She rolled her eyes at Hannah, then bent down and gave Neville a kiss on the cheek.
"Happy birthday, Daddy," she said, then proceeded to get her own wine glass and poured herself some wine not bothering to ask. After all - she was of age.
"And for your information I was trying to show Frankie that his herbology text book from last year had an error in it but he wouldn't believe me. Dad, you know that the texts for the third years on mandrake root had it that a mandrake's cry could kill even when they are babies? You should contact the publisher," she told her father, making herself comfortable at the table.
