Albus had heard about the Board decision while at the Wizengamot. It seemed that news inside the Ministry travelled even faster than news inside Hogwarts. Of course, he heard about the problems that people were predicting. He couldn't understand why. Hogwarts had always been a boarding school and at the centre of the war since the fifties. Why people would have a problem staying now was a mystery to him, and there wasn't much that he couldn't understand. However, he decided to check on the situation. Offering advice was not interferance after all.
Dear Severus,
I've found out about your decision to return the school to its normal state. I believe that you are making the right decision. You will need your staff with you.
If I may, almost fifty years as Headmaster have taught me that knowledge is not always the best way to pick the professors. Should you need suggestions for any given subject, let me know and we'll see what I can do.
I would come to the school, but I'm stuck at the Ministry. You can always come here if you like.
