She heard the pop of his arrival even over the drumming of the water, and she felt something unclench inside of her. She supposed, if she was being honest, she really had expected him to show up ... but there was always a doubt that someday he wouldn't.
Rinsing out her hair, she turned the water off and opened the door even as she reached for one of the towels. "You're gonna be so tired tomorrow," she said as she flipped her hair forward, bending over to towel the worst of the water out before wrapping the towel around herself.
Stepping into the significantly cooler hotel room, she offered him a shaky smile before she shook her head. Damp hair clung to her face before she thought to dry it with a spell. Crossing over to him, she sat down beside him to rest her head on his shoulder.
