Harry smiled a bit. "It's not fighting Voldemort I fear. I know it probably sounds conceited and Jamie would call it bragging, but I know I can take him in a face to face duel."
"What I don't know is if I'll manage to get him to duel me in the first place," he admitted. "I'm so scared that James will have to do it, that he'll be the one with a tarnished soul. I hope it won't be the case, but I fear it all the same."
Taking her head in his hands as she kissed his forehead he pulled her down so that his lips could meet hers. "I love you. I've always loved you." He pulled back, then pulled her down with him in bed. "Let's get some sleep - or I'll get some sleep at least - and we can figure this out in the morning."
"Just stay with me a while." He pulled her as close as he could, and buried his face in her hair, and was asleep within minutes.
