"Barely," Remus smirked. Chuckling warmly when Craig mentioned not wanting the puppy to grow up, he shook his head. "Perhaps your friends should have gotten you a scottie instead."
He nodded, thoughts already going back to lesson plans and practical tests. Remus wanted his students prepared not just for their exams, but for the world outside that would threaten them every time they left the castle grounds. "I was pants at potions, I have to admit."
Something about instructions that required him to know when something was a deep olive green, or shifted from dark pink to light red, he could never get.
"I'll try." Remus slipped his hands into his pockets, not wanting to insult Craig by making a big deal about the hand squeeze and barriers. He had the impression the young man was as touchy-feely as Tonks, whom he was also trying not to upset with his own distance. But, tonight was not the night to test him with the Full so close. "It's still never easy."
