"See, this is why I'm the quiet one." Laughing softly at himself, Remus shook his head. "I can't get myself into trouble this way if I don't speak."
Searching those light coloured eyes as he listened, Remus couldn't help wondering what the other man was thinking. He'd felt him tense, sensed the momentary stillness before fingers tightened around his own. And, he wondered at himself, what had changed in himself that first "the boys" could work their way so quickly into his affections; then, as Regulus said, he seemed to easily speak to Sirius' little brother of things he normally kept quiet.
It was like he'd been in a perpetual state of confusion for two months.
"No," he agreed quietly, "tonight's not the night. Another conversation for another night."
