Re: Remus - Regulus
"Werewolf's a predator like any other. If a lion's hungry and there are no zebras, only hyenas, it'll attack the hyenas."
Remus chuckled, well able to imagine the sort of jokes, or some of them, that could be made. It turned into full-bodied laughter at the idea of telling Severus. "No, I don't think that would be a good idea at all. No, no."
Not that Remus felt comfortable talking about his condition with Severus much at all, not after the prank Sirius had pulled.
His skin tingled oddly in the wake of the fingers lightly tracing his scars. It was unsettling. They were always kept covered, except when he was training alone in the privacy of Harry's back Garden. He'd never had anyone touch them like this and he found himself watching Regulus' fingers in a sort of strange fascination. "Do you miss it," he asked quietly, "that connection to the others?
"I've never felt all that good." Rolling his sleeve down as Regulus wrapped the cloak back around them. He fell silent then, watching the night thoughtfully.
"I don't think I'm going to go through with the study just yet. I still want to read that book. But, I'm going to wait on any practical applications. I think I need to know myself better before I start messing about in my own head or worse."
