Al peered up at Scor. "You, Scorpius Malfoy, were friends with 'a girl'." And here I was under the impression that Scor didn't know girls were human beings like the rest of us until I informed him of it. "Fascinating. Or," Al raised an eyebrow, "did her nickname confuse you too."
Al nodded at the clarification and made one of his own. "Art never 'defaces', it only contributes," he declared. "And you'll get to Wolfsbane in no time, just wait."
He glanced down at Helena Nott's tombstone, not expecting any confirmation, just silence.
There were so many facts and stories hidden away in plain sight on the tombstones, for those who knew how to collect them. It was fascinating and slightly soothing, like the silence of unmet relatives long gone but still made familiar by marked stone, still close.
