"Have a seat, Potter." Alastor indicated the chair opposite him with a nod of his head. "I think it's time you and I get to know each other, as they say."
Alastor had been watching the boy ever since his first briefing with the father. He'd also been watching very closely to see how he and his friend Vaisey interacted the day before. He'd been piecing together a profile of these two trainees that both impressed and worried him.
Now it was time to see how accurate his guesses had been and if he could work with them.
"First of all, as far as anyone else is concerned, this was one more boring, routine debriefing on your activities involving yesterday's incident at the Quidditch match. Beyond that, nothing we say leaves these walls without my permission. Clear?"
