Patrick snorted. "Gee, Mother, you're so objective," he said, smiling. "It's a funeral. I'm sure you can ignore each other for a few hour." He wasn't surprised by her request, though. After Christmas dinner, he was thinking about it as well. "I'll speak with Marcus. It really should come from him, and we have another year to do it... It'll be done sooner, though."
