Re: Regulus/Remus/Sirius
Regulus stared at Sirius for a long time. He didn't even know where to start, and maybe it might have been easier without witnesses, but if Remus hadn't been there, he would have already walked out. He grabbed the front of Sirius' shirt, because it was that or hex the crap out of him.
"Sirius, you're the biggest idiot I've ever met," he said affectionately. "You're more than worth it. If your pedigree, name and a status weren't enough, you're my brother, and you're more than worth it. I understand that they are your family and if I have to put up with them-" He shrugged, before looking at Remus with a tiny smile. "Some of them aren't that bad, and unlike some of them, I can still be civil even if I don't like them."
He let go and smoothed out Sirius' shirt with his hand while casting a spell to rid it of the wrinkles. "Someone has to do the thinking in the family, right? You can keep being surprised." Sirius could remain the eternal child while Regulus did the thinking for the both of them.
He stepped aside and let him open the presents. "The snitch will come around with a spell this way you don't have to stay out at night, because it's still actually dangerous. I hope you remember it's still dangerous out there," he said with a tiny smile.
Regulus nodded. "Those are something I like indeed, and they have your measurements. If you need anything, just owl Twilfit & Tattings. They'll make them for you without you having to go in." He smacked Sirius' arm. "It's scary when James Potter has more sense than you. You'd better look properly. It's the first concert you've done since you were a child."
He waited for the last one, hoping that Sirius would really like it. The jacket was made of the finest lambskin leather, but the customisations were the ones that made Regulus a little hesitant. The Black family crest was embroidered on the front left pocket. It was small and elegant, made with silver thread.
"Show Remus the back." It had fiery gold Phoenix wings, covering almost the entire back, and in front of the Phoenix, there were a black dog, a stag and a werewolf. Regulus had decided that keeping Pettigrew out was best, but there was room to add him if Sirius wanted. "Your old family and your new one," he said, staring at his brother. "You can have both now... if you want."
