Re: Regulus/Remus/Sirius
Remus groaned inwardly from where he stood off to one side. Really, they were even more out of step with each other than he and Severus in a conversation about Neville's boggart and that was saying something!
He'd intended to give Sirius a little warning, but his friend had cheerfully gone into the drawing room before Remus could finish speaking. Remus had hoped he could fade into the background after that, but he wasn't about to let Sirius drive his brother away by being obtuse and he wasn't going to let Regulus further that obtuseness by running away.
"Pads," he chided with admittedly fond exasperation. "I don't think your brother would have come all the way here if he didn't want you to open them now. He could have sent an owl for that."
Sirius had to be the one to ask Regulus to stay outright. If Remus asked Regulus to stay, that defeated the entire purpose of getting the man here in the first place.
