Harry smiled. "I would hope so," he said, a silent thank you in his own words. He acknowledged Gellerts with a small nod and a smile, because he did mean it. That of course did not mean that he would not keep an eye out just the same, but he did believe that Gellert's remorse was sincere.
As Gellert went on, he chuckled. "Well your last career had a less than satisfactory end, a new one can only be beneficial," he joked. "I'm sure there is a lot to cover, and a lot of knitting to do," he said. "And one Dark Wizard to catch," he added with a smile.
"So from what you know, what do you think of Voldemort, or Riddle, whichever you prefer to use?" he asked, pouring them both some more tea.
