She shivered as his lips touched the marks on her neck and Minerva bit her lip to stifle the small whimper that threatened to leave her. "Don't be. It was stupidity on my part," Minerva told Atlas, the scarf in her hand falling to the floor.
Giving him a wane, little smile she then laughed when Apollo and Octavius bounded into the living room. Apollo nearly knocked her over with his enthusiasm.
She sat back on her heels and pulled the puppy into her arms, and the dog licked her chin.
"Apparently not. But that's all right. We've got plenty of time to catch up," Minerva said, then gave Atlas a hopeful smile before placing a kiss on top of Apollo's head.
