Standing in the middle of his flat, just holding onto him and him onto her, Minerva felt calmer than she had in weeks. Calmer and safer.
"I didn't know how much I missed this until just now," she told him, his skin warm under her cheek.
Sitting on the sofa, Minerva curled her legs up under her bum after kicking off her heeled shoes. She cuddled into Atlas' side, her hand resting on his stomach.
"Don't worry about any of that just yet, all right? We'll figure it out. Right now I just want to be with you."
She watched the flames in the fireplace dance and listened to Atlas' heart beating and then was reminded of something and Minerva sighed loudly.
