She smiled through her crying, a surge of relief running down to her toes and Minerva felt like floating from happiness. He wanted her still. "It's not going to be easy," she gasped, but then his mouth was on hers and she forgot whatever else she was going to say.
Minerva whimpered, missing this - missing him and finally admitting it to herself. He tasted the same, felt the same. This is what she wanted, and why had she fought it so long?
She broke the kiss and buried her face into the crook of his neck, hugging him tight. A nip on her ankle made her jump, and she pulled away from Atlas to look down.
"Apollo, yeah?" Minerva mumbled, sniffing and then grinned. "Well, you certainly are a handsome little thing."
Turning her attention back to Atlas, Minerva swallowed and wiped her face with the back of her hand. "I'm sorry I came by so early. I just...I couldn't wait anymore."
