RP: Harry and Dom Who: Harry and Dominique Where: Potter residence When: December 19 Rating/Warnings: Summary: Harry and Dominique talk about the threats she's facing and the protection she needs
Harry might not be in his office most weekends (save for when there was an emergency which there always seemed to be) but that did not mean he was not almost always working on them. His office, when he used it, was usually filled with reports, and quite a few hours a day he could be seen sitting by the kitchen table with those reports that weren't in the office next door.
Today, while he was waiting for Dominique, was no different. They had more info now on Voldemorts movements than they'd had before. They knew, not just strongly suspected, that Pettigrew was in contact with him, they knew the hideout was one he would most likely to use again, and they also had to deal with the moral aspects of tailing Natasha. This time Ronan had not had time to stop her from killing four innocent people, but what if he did in the future? Harry needed to decide because Ronan couldn't be expected to wait and call it in before acting, and as much as he wanted it to be an easy decision it was not.
Which was more important? Staying under cover in order to get to Voldemort and possibly stop what would become a full out war that would lead to the death of hundreds of people - or stopping Natasha from killing those in her path? In terms of numbers, it seemed easy, but it wasn't just numbers. It was people, with families and names and loved ones. Each death was a tragedy, and if he let them happen, even if the cause was getting to Voldemort - was he any better than Voldemort himself?
What he really wanted was a way for Ronan to stay under cover while still stopping her, but he had no clue how that would even be possible. But at least for now the situation had not risen again. Ronan had another meeting with her on Tuesday, and Moody would be back from his mission on Sunday. He'd talk to Moody about the situation before Tuesday and make a definite decision then. Ronan would not have to wonder in the future, his orders would be clear.
He stopped his musings as he heard the door open upstairs, since he was expecting Dom to arrive at any moment. "Down in the kitchen, Dom!" he called as he heard her voice, using his wand to gather up the reports and sending them to the office with a flick of his wand.
"Want tea?" he asked with a smile as she stepped into the room, having already got up and gone to the counter to make some.
