He stopped his pacing to look at her. "You can make any inferences you want," he said with a shrug. "I just need to know that what I tell you. . . that you won't tell anyone. No matter what it is."
Sighing again, he rubbed at his face. "I know Ronan has told me it's confidential. I just can't take these types of risks, you know? I want to tell you. I want to get the help so I can avoid prison. It's just hard. Trusting people."
