Atlas growled under his breath and ran his hands through his hair. He'd tried, and he'd failed, again. He didn't know how long he could keep doing this to himself.
"I wish I didn't care about you as much as I do," he said. Clicking his tongue against his teeth, he got Oc up off the bed and he walked to the door. "Min, I understand what you want, but apparently I can't give it to you. I just wish I could feel the same as you. Look at other birds the way you look at other blokes. It's just not that easy for me. I'm sorry."
He sighed and shook his head. "I'm going to go," he said. "Watch out for the door. I don't want any light to get in and hurt you."
