Well, maybe not-so innocent bystander." he teased further and chuckled when he had heard Ben's suggestion. "Oh so that's why you were looking for Quoft. If you want, I could be surly and make a few snarky comments to see if Ben's suggestion was the better one?" Neville beamed and admittedly was trying to make Ariana laugh, even though she was miraculously holding it in well.
"Normally I'd volunteer, since you need someone. But... it's your area of expertise and I still have a lot to learn myself. I'm afraid I'd be rubbish, well, apart from pointing out poison oak or things like that." Plus, there was the looming Headmaster issue, and getting Terry all settled in. He shook his head, trying to physically shake his thoughts away. "Someone will turn up and it'll work out for you."
Neville met Ari half-way and listened, despite the goosebumps that appeared as she spoke. He listened to the outline of what the kids would be doing at the camp and he had to disagree with Ariana, it did sound intriguing. It may not be exciting to her or some of the students who've come to rely on magic but... it would be interesting to see. "No wands? I wonder how long until you find someone who tried to smuggle one in?" Neville trusted that Ari had security measures in order in case something should happen, so he didn't even question her on it. Instead he just smiled and pulled back slightly. "It sounds wonderful actually... wish we had that wen we were at.... school." Neville caught himself before saying 'Hogwarts' and his ears turned that familiar shade of red again.
