"Or help the audience if the magician isn't very good," she pointed out as she stepped out of the alley and onto the sidewalk. Reaching out to take his arm - simply to guide him, of course - Ari flashed him a smile.
"Patient ..." she said, then tilted her head, eyes narrowing slightly. "Other dates or other people?" She assumed date, but her mind had flicked to people. She certainly had no right to be tying him into anything exclusive - not on a first date at any rate - but she was curious. And as long as she was (probably) misunderstanding him, they may as well clear that bit up as well.
Nodding in the direction they were to head, she started off down the street with him.
She supposed she could do patient, though she wondered what patient encompassed. Understanding that she wasn't always going to be his first priority? She certainly didn't expect that right off the bat. Later, perhaps, if things got serious, but right now ... it was what it was, and it was two colleagues going out on a first date.
