Shaking his head, Atlas sighed. "I'm going to get you to tell me," he said. "Like you said, stubborn."
"Min, now you're just being ridiculous," he said, grabbing for her hand to pull her out of the chair. "We both know you're tired, so get in bed."
He didn't want to admit it, but he liked going back and forth with her like this. He liked talking to her, and simply being around her was enough to turn his head. If only he could be with her again. But she didn't want him. Maybe this was going to be as close as they would ever get again.
"Please," he said after a moment. "I don't know much about vampires." He closed his eyes at the word, still not wanting to believe it was true. "But I do know that you need your rest. Now go."
