Children,
After careful consideration, Molly and I have decided to have a quiet Christmas at the Burrow this year. There will be no family gathering on Christmas Day or New Year's Day.
We of course have always considered our home to be open to our children and their children and should you wish to come by and visit on Christmas Eve, your mother and I would enjoy that. We'd appreciate a quick note beforehand, however.
We love you all,
Dad
Ronald,
I shouldn't have to tell you how disappointed and disgusted your mother and I are regarding your actions last Saturday. Not only have you insulted Jamie and his guest, who in turn was our guest as well, but you have hurt your mother deeply by carrying on in such a brutish and childish manner.
I don't have to remind you how hard it was for your mother when Percy decided to cut himself out of the family, or when Fred was killed during the Battle. Now her brother has returned after being dead for decades, as well as Fred who's death she never really recovered from. Then both Jamie and Dominique's lives were severely threatened recently and your mother wanted to remind everyone the preciousness of life by celebrating it.
Your actions hurt our grandson, and you physically harmed one of our guests at our home. Not only do you owe your mother an apology, but most importantly you owe Jamie and Sirius each an apology for doing what you did.
You may not agree with whatever bond Jamie and Sirius have created, however they are both consenting adults and I will not tolerate you continuing to behave like you have.
Govern yourself young man, before you alienate the entire family.
Love,
Dad
