She let out an unladylike snort. "Moody would have us all on our arses, still in his peg leg and without even breaking a sweat." She rolled here eyes. "Constant vigilance," she murmered, though really the advice wasn't too off the mark.
Alice nodded when Tonks spoke of her son. "I'm glad. I knew you would." While her and Tonks' situations differed when it came down to details, basic facts still remained the same. They were mothers whose children had grown up without them.
"It's easier though, knowing you're fighting for them." Alice's hand slid over her stomach protectively, her wand effectively hidden by her sleeves. "Even when they're grown men who don't need their mummies protecting them."
Because still, even though Neville had his own children, he'd still be her little boy.
