Remus chuckled at the thoughts of actually starting a snowball fight here. Sirius would be no trouble to convince. And if "the boys", as he was beginning to think of their three young emulators, were around to see it, he imagined they'd be right there with them. "Oh, I think there's more than a few of us around that might classify as scallywags tonight."
Briefly he wondered if they could convince Harry to join in as well, then dismissed it. Appealing as the idea was, he would not be suggesting a snowball fight to any of the aforethought gentlemen -- because they'd likely take it more seriously than he intended!
"Ah, and now you know the real reason I see to be bored," Remus admitted with a wry smile. "For all that I might be a grown-up, business and feeding other people's egos are activities that I find very dull. I'd much rather talk to you about snowball fights and Christmas lights."
Which was absolutely true. Lily might only be sixteen, but she was bright and untainted by the self-importance that always seemed to cloak adults at these events. Like her eldest brother and his friends, this young lady was worming her way into Remus' affections.
