Lorcan was confused when Stephen put up a privacy spell, but he soon saw why. His throat went dry as he realized just how big Stephen was as he stepped closer, and he felt his face flush with embarrassment. Stephen's words, though, they did more than make him uncomfortable. They made him remember how he'd felt around Dylan, which was almost exactly like Stpehen was describing.
He made himself stay still as Stephen moved closer, his voice going low and seductive, and though it wasn't the same as Dylan, he did feel butterflies in his stomach that he tried very hard to suppress. Stephen was a co-worker, and he wasn't Dylan.
When Stephen stepped back, Lorcan took a deep breath, wondering when things had gotten so warm. When he could safely speak, he looked up at Stephen, and hoped his voice didn't sound as shaky as he felt.
"I felt like that about Dylan," he admitted quietly, stumbling over Dylan's name. He still felt that way about Dylan, and he didn't imagine it would fade any time soon. "But he didn't feel the same. Or he did, and I ruined it." He paused, and considered everything he knew about Dylan. "But I don't think he did, really. But that's over now, and I don't want to feel that way about anyone again. It's why I need to stay busy. But if you don't want help, that's fine. I'll find something else to do."
