With anyone else, the mention of sex would have made him blush and stutter. And there was a part of him that wanted to, but he was really getting tired of everyone he knew comparing things to sex. It was completely aggravating, and unluckily for Stephen, Lorcan had had just about enough.
"What is everyone's preoccupation with sex?" he asked, honest confusion coloring his voice. "It's just interlocking body parts. Nothing exciting, not like discovering something new and knowing that you had a hand in helping someone." And sex certainly wasn't special, at least not when it came down to what he and Dylan had done. Dylan had made that pretty clear, even if he hadn't said as much out loud.
He sighed, and bit his lip again. "I do though. Medicine does that for me, I just want to keep learning something new, making new discoveries about what interests me. And if I have some time to maybe find that out while helping someone do something important, why is that such a bad thing?"
