Jacob remained mercifully silent on the topic of Peter's financial situation at least when it came to food. If Peter wanted to gorge himself tonight that was his own business. "Oh you're quite right." He chuckled. "I could do without many of these people." He did his best to keep his tone even, but he doubted he'd managed to keep all his distaste out of the words.
"This is tradition though." He reminded Peter, "Something that was happening before even I was born and is still continuing today - and that is something I can support." He grinned slowly. "Besides I wasn't made to be a shut in, I need to get out of the flat from time to time, even if it means pretending to be courteous to these people."
