Dylan smiled, because that was what mothers were supposed to feel, then he shook his head. "No she's just a crap mum," he said. "She was a crap mum before she sent me away too, that was just- It was her out. She got rid of me. And no, it's not just what I think, I know."
He took a sip of his cider before he went on. "The year after, I went back," he said. "I ran away from Cass because I wanted to be with my mum, as crappy as she was. She slammed the door in my face, told me she didn't have any use for freaks." He shrugged. "That was our last conversation. I went to see her now... when I thought I was going to die, but she's not family anymore."
"She seems to treat my little sister just as crappy as she ever did me, though. Unfortunately she's all Muggle so she's not getting out of there for a long while yet. She's only 9."
He laughed as she counted all the things that parents did together. "Well we do get to go home for Christmas, if we want. I usually tried to tag along James or stay in school. But yeah, parents aren't really involved with anything at Hogwarts. Not at all like you are."
"I see James has beaten me to it," he said with a laugh. "Unless it was someone else in the family. But yeah, Audrey Weasley is his wife," he said. "And they do cater to the public opinion, but yeah, democracy is definitely lacking."
