Ginny and Bill
"I didn't say that," Ginny would have snapped if she hadn't been more concerned with smoothing her brother's temper.
"I think he's a colossal idiot and I've half a mind to do something horrible and permanent to his bullocks. I'm bloody furious. If anyone was going to get bit that night, it should have been him."
Okay, so maybe her temper was a little hot on the issue, too. It felt good to let of some of the vitriol she felt. She felt guilty that she hadn't known it was Terry earlier, because if she'd known, she would have talked him out of whatever silly romantic notions he had regarding Dominique, and her niece's life would still be intact.
"I don't really mean all that," Ginny clarified, if her brother was at all shocked she would say such things, especially considering...
"Look," Ginny began, then stopped; the whole thing was a mess, where, for example, did this leave her friendship with the man in question? "Terry used to be a mate, at Hogwarts. I'll talk to him, make him see sense. But if Dominique is set on him..."
"I don't know that anyone can stop her. She's an adult; she's going to do what she wants," Ginny sighed. Suddenly, it wasn't just about Dominique, but about all the kids who were now grown. Like James. Especially James.
