He stood back as his wife began to murder a head of lettuce, bits of leaves flying everywhere. Arthur wasn't a stupid man to go near his wife with a knife when she was upset like this.
He frowned, confused. "But Mollykins - that's not unusual for the boys to yell at one another. After all, we have a whole gathering of people with different temperaments and opinions," Arthur said in a soothing, calm voice.
Not really understand why she would get so upset over some bickering, Arthur let her calm down enough that when she put down the knife he want to her and rested his arms on Molly's shoulders.
"Oh love. Please don't say that. Besides, you gave me your heart for safe keeping when we married. I think I did a good job protecting it this long," Arthur murmured, turning Molly around to face him.
