Welcome to Tonks' quandary. Guilt and bitterness had both fought and ganged up against the woman during that first month or two. It was harder, Tonks suspected, because she remembered so keenly the feeling of a baby in her arms. She had to work her ass in overdrive to lose the baby weight and get back on the force. There had been signs of new motherhood when she looked in the mirror, but an adult son in front of her. Guilty. And bitter. Now she was taking it as a second chance. She'd get to see Teddy grow older, get married, have kids of his own. That sort of thing. She was determined to see this.
But that wasn't what Tonks was thinking about right now. She had been making a mental note of a way to show him the photos, and then she paused altogether. Her first thought? I love you! It stayed just a thought though. And wasn't because it was a romantic love (though naturally there was that), but instead because he just teasingly compared himself to her favourite character. So Tonks was giggling. "I'll be sure to get you some crunchings and munchings." Teased in return. Then she racked her brain for Erekosë. "Moorcock, right?" She hadn't read it, but remembered him talking about it.
