James laughed as Sirius poked him. He was slightly ticklish, not that he wanted to admit it, and the touch was too gentle to hurt. "I'm so sorry. I guess I should have mentioned it, but how was I supposed to know that you decided to be polite tonight."
He could feel the change already, and it wasn't good, not when there were people coming in and out. "Yes, you're horrible, with your charm and good looks. How could you? You made me stop thinking, led me into a life of sin... oh wait, I did that before you," he finished with a grin.
He ranked Sirius' hair with his finger. "I really like your hair," he said out of the blue, and then focused on Sirius. "When I come out, I come out. It'll be in the papers, the magazines, there'll be pictures and quotes from ex lovers I've never had, stories about men I've never met, because that's how things work. I'm not ready for that, not when we don't even know what we're doing. I'm sorry."
