"Tennis?" Scor asked, not really sure what it was. "Maybe you could show me someday." It was part of his plan to try new things, make new friends, and get some control of his life.
"It's fine, really. Al has seen the very worst part. I wouldn't have wanted you to see that. I could hardly look in the mirror," he told her. He would have welcomed her all the same but he didn't question their friendship because of it. "I hated being locked up in that room. I hardly recognized myself anyway."
"You do deserve to celebrate with us though," he said with a grin. "I don't plan on ever doing it again, either."
