"Remus, that was not going in details," he said, laughing. He wasn't one to share everything with his friends, but he also didn't think that saying that he was going to blow someone counted as details.
It was good to see Remus laugh. Jamie was finding that he liked it to have this closeness to men he'd always studied. "I thought you'd like it and you must be used to it."
He grinned back. "Of course. We'd love having you there. I'd do it now, but I'm rather beat, especially if we have to Apparate all the way there again, but you can use the Floo until then."
He didn't think either one should have done anything. "You can't blame yourself for this. Sirius hides well, he uses misdirection skilfully. I should know." He smiled self-deprecatingly. "I might have used the same tactic once or twice, but that's irrelevant. The point is that it must be strange for both of you, and if I helped, then I'm glad that I told you." His eyes kept going from Remus to Sirius and then back. "I care about him. I won't betray him, but I'll try to help him when I can." He flashed Remus another smile, trying not to think about what he had admitted. "And he promised that he'll let me spoil him, and I can't do that if we're arguing."
