Remus was pretty sure said son's conception was also fairly close to the first time in his life he'd had any practical experience with the concept of sex. But he wasn't about to begin a discussion on that topic! Instead, all he said was "Knowing it happens as a vague concept in the back of one's mind, and wanting to know the details behind that hazy concept are two entirely different things."
He had to laugh at James' solution, however. "Plan B it is." Plan B had almost always been 'wing it' in Remus' experience.
And again, just like he had the night he insisted Remus was family, blood or not, James Sirius' open acceptance took Remus by pleasant surprise with his offer to change the protections to give Remus access to Garden Court. It would seem he truly did live up to his names in all the ways that had made Remus love the two people who'd held them originally.
"I might take you up on that more often, in that case," he said with a warm smile.
"Perhaps I don't have to thank you. But I will anyway. And I agree. You've nothing to be sorry for. It was something I should have seen and didn't." Because he was too busy feeling a bit left out himself, hiding himself away at Harry's as he had been. "Things with us are better than they've been in a long time. There are still a couple rough spots we need to work through, though. You helped with that by what you said. So, thank you."
