The sputtering sound coming from the corner of the garden was Remus choking on his butterbeer at James' pronouncement. "I did not need that mental image, James Sirius Potter. Thanks ever so."
Bemused at the things that sometimes came out of this young man's mouth, Remus tried again for another swallow of his drink before anything else more shocking could come forth. "Just remember your dad would likely prefer you not hex either your uncle or his godfather. Then again, he'd likely rather they didn't hex each other, either," he concluded with a chuckle.
"Figured I'd check up on him, see how he was doing." And he'd needed to spend some time with someone who hadn't known him from before, when he'd been older. "I had a lunch appointment and thought he might like some company. So, I stopped by after.
"And it seems you hear a lot for a man who only got back to town this morning," Remus smirked, knowing full well anything he'd heard from Sirius he'd heard during their vacation. "But, yes, we did and no I'm not telling you anything more than what Sirius might have mentioned. Although, I will thank you for saying something to me about how he felt."
