Following his gaze to where Sirius and Ron were talking, Remus nodded. He was well acquainted with Sirius' moods of course. But, Ron was an unknown entity to him. Still, Remus had no reason to be torn the way James did.
"That's certainly an option," Remus chuckled, amused more by the face the younger man made than the idea of hexing either of the two men they were discussing. "As long as you hex them both, you've fewer hard feelings to deal with after."
More temperamental than Sirius sounded somewhat ominous. Having only cursorily paid attention to the two of them before James' approach, Remus took a closer look now, making it a point to keep an eye on his friend's back, as it were.
"Well, if it comes to it, you block the hexes and I'll handle the physical restraint." James was still recovering after all.
